Sunderland has an incredibly rich glass-making heritage, dating back to the very first stained glass being produced in the city in the 7th Century AD.

As part of a series of research case studies for the University of Sunderland, we were given the opportunity to speak with local glass artists and workers at The National Glass Centre in Sunderland, and share the fascinating and beautiful work they produce.
